Why is Change and Innovation important?

With the economic climate as it is, organisations are looking to their greatest asset – its people to help them survive, sustain and thrive. This requires people to develop the ability to think and work differently and challenge the norm.

Being creative interestingly does have a stigma attached to it as people often think ‘they are not creative’ because they don’t work in marketing, the arts or design etc. Very few people are truly uncreative. It simply is about trying out something new even if you’re not sure it’s going to work; it’s thinking up lots of fresh ideas and having a go for the greater good. Even those that are well-versed to thinking outside the box, sometimes they just need a boost of inspiration to re-focus and get back on track.

Innovation training gives individuals the confidence to explore new ways of thinking and working. One of the most limiting mindsets in any organisation is the belief that “this is how things have always been done.” This kind of fixed thinking can stifle progress, discourage fresh ideas, and ultimately hinder growth. Working innovatively shifts the workplace culture from one that is focused solely on risk-avoidance to one that values creativity, adaptability, and shared success.
